“An Evening in Italy” at the Blackhawk Country Club Ballroom will include Italian food as well as the romantic music of “Italia” presented by the 85-member Danville Community Band. Its director, Larry Anderson, is a 20-year Blackhawk resident.
“I am so proud of this fine group of musicians and the progress they have made over the past six years,” Anderson said. “They love playing together and the Blackhawk Dinner Concert is one of the highlights of our yearly performances – the food is great, too!”
Guest vocalists soprano Elizabeth Hunter and tenor Jorge Gomez will sing Italian arias and love songs. The evening will have a no host bar at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and concert at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 15. It is open to the public, $45 per person, all inclusive. Call 736-6500 for reservations.
