Danville resident Renee Moradkhani threw open the doors of her salon to 15 women from the shelter in Livermore, which provides a safe haven for battered and homeless women and children.
The women from Shepherd’s Gate – as well as those from the salon – had a great time as they styled their hair and did manicures.
Everyone donated their time Monday, when the shop was closed to the public. Moradhkani said the director of Shepherd’s Gate is a client of the salon and Monday’s Day of Beauty was the third such event.
