The more than 1 million FasTrak users in the Bay Area can now use the electronic device to pay for garage parking at San Francisco International Airport, officials announced this week.
Using FasTrak to pay for parking allows drivers to enter and exit the garages more quickly, as well as reduces harmful emissions caused by engine idling, airport spokesman Mike McCarron.
FasTrak works at all of the airport garages, including long-term parking. Customers need to use a FasTrak Available lane to enter and do not receive a ticket. Upon exiting customers must use a FasTrak Available lane to obtain a receipt, according to McCarron.
SFO guarantees its long-term rate of $14 per day in any garage if the long-term lot is full. Vouchers can be obtained at the long-term lot and
used at one of the short-term lots. SFO also offers parking at $20 per day in International Garages A and B.
San Jose and Oakland airports are also working on the use of FasTrak for their parking lots but this convenience will not happen any time soon at these locations.

This service is great! I left the SFO parking garage the other day and couldn’t figure out why the automatic arm opened for no reason. Was reviewing my Fastrack bill a few days later and saw the charge. Much more convenient! Kudos to the airport for a smart idea.
