Oil paintings by Danville resident Hongmei Lu will be on display at the San Ramon Community Center’s Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery(12501 Alcosta Blvd.) through June 29. Titled “Diablo View” the exhibit boasts more than 30 paintings.
“My inspirations coming from all sorts of places,” Lu said. “Real life, old masters as well as contemporary artists, books…and even marks on the wall.”
Using home as a theme, many of the paintings are of one or more figures in an interior or garden setting. Others are local landscapes, portraits and still lifes.
An artist reception will be held on Saturday, June 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.
