A large truck knocked down power lines on Buena Vista Avenue in Walnut Creek this afternoon, prompting police to close a section of the road.
Police received a report at 12:34 p.m. that a freight truck had possibly caught on overhead wires at 2635 Buena Vista Ave.
The driver, who was not hurt, stopped and remained at the scene.
Police have closed Buena Vista Avenue between San Luis Road and Third Avenue while repairs are made, police said.
