Monte Vista High’s Daniel Gallagher scored the winning run on a squeeze bunt by C.J. Robertson in the 10th inning against San Ramon Valley on Friday for a 6-5 win for the Mustangs.
The SRV Wolves were leading 5-1 at the bottom of the sixth when Monte Vista scored four runs to even the score.
Both teams were in the North Coast Section Division I playoffs this week. San Ramon Valley lost Tuesday, 3-2, to Mission San Jose. Monte Vista faces Berkeley High at MVHS at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
After winning seasons, the Danville teams were high seeds in the NCS playoffs. The two teams tied for second in the East Bay Athletic League; De La Salle High School came in first.
