A Pleasanton man embroiled in a bitter custody battle has had criminal charges against him thrown out of court.
Brian Lancaster had five charges dismissed for lack of evidence, according to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
“The D.A. told the judge they were going to dismiss all the charges in the interest of justice,” Lancaster said Tuesday after the charges were dropped.
Lancaster, 36, was arrested Jan. 16 by Pleasanton police Officer Tim Martens after a traffic stop for an expired registration. That led to a search of his car, and Martens’s report says his search turned up 2.5 grams of “a white powdery substance” that tested positive for methamphetamine and a pipe.
Lancaster has refuted that evidence since his arrest, and he filed a claim — a precursor to a lawsuit — against Pleasanton in June asking for in excess of $1 million.
“Pleasanton police Officer Tim Martens and other unknown officers improperly obtained confidential information, improperly used and disclosed false and confidential information and made illegal search, seizure and arrest based on use of improperly obtained information and falsified evidence,” Lancaster states in his claim.
The court Tuesday dismissed charges of possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia possession and two weapons charges that stemmed from a subsequent search of the house Lancaster shares with his father.
“The Department of Justice raided my house. Lesley Regina faxed the DOJ all kinds of nonsense (stating) that they must start an investigation of me,” Lancaster said. “Lesley (Regina) had told them that I had assault weapons, all kinds of weapons there.”
Regina, a San Ramon family law attorney, has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge that she illegally received confidential information. Her alleged co-conspirator, Alameda County Sheriff’s deputy Ryan Silcocks, also has pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanors, for illegally accessing information and for illegally furnishing information.
Lancaster said he’s one of the people singled out by Regina. Although she doesn’t represent his ex-wife, Lisa Secord, Lancaster has documentation he claims show the two were in communication.
He said it’s his belief that Silcocks was running his name through national crime databases.
Also dismissed Tuesday was a charge of driving on a suspended license, even though Lancaster admits he was doing so.
Lancaster, who was on probation for a three-year-old case of petty theft, also had that probation ended.
“This took the biggest weight off my shoulders, ever,” Lancaster said.
The charges against Lancaster and their dismissal are the latest in an ongoing battle between the Pleasanton resident and Secord, who is now remarried and living in Washington state.
Lancaster said he’s seeking to overturn a Washington state restraining order, which he said was granted because of the charges against him.
He said he’s also looking into the possibility of criminal charges against Secord for placing a GPS tracking unit on his car.
Despite the dismissal of charges and the battle between the ex-couple, which includes the hiring of a private investigator and allegations of domestic abuse — which were dismissed — Lancaster admits he’s not without fault.
“Basically, I screwed up. I had an affair,” he said. “She’s still angry.”

Shame on Brian, continuing to solicit attention for himself by posing as Rachel, Anthony (rachels friend who was shot) and Lesley Regina (that one is extremely foolish in itself) all just to annoy and harass Rachel and mock Lesley (you know that’s what you are doing Brian) . This behavior just shows what a shallow person Brian Lancaster really is. His actions show that he is and will always be an individual displaying true sociopathic behavior who hungers for attention at any cost as he has shown in these worthless articles and town forum topics where he continually does what he can to keep them in the public eye (as well as using them as forums to harass and threaten Lesley Regina, Lisa and Trey Secord (I believe this is the ex wife who just recently got a restraining order against him… it said in these story comments anyways) and Rachel Gianola.
I’ve googled all the names above and to that I say:
Brian, you need to stop doing drugs, get a job, keep the job, pay your child support and stop threatening and harassing people. How many restraining orders have been filed against you to date? Jesus… I know, I know you are innocent of all these accusations. Right? You didn’t do anything, right? It was the ex-wife. No wait, it was the ex-girlfriend. No wait, it was the OTHER ex-girlfriend. No wait, it was that family law attorney. NO wait, it was the Pleasanton Police. NO WAIT, it was the Alameda County Sheriffs. Wow, I don’t know about you but I’m pretty dizzy after all that finger pointing. So whose fault is it again? Oh yeah, you did admit you were driving on a suspended license.
Rachel Gianola, after reading the Anthony story (and comments) and this Brian Lancaster garbage, I hope you have found better company to keep because a bank robber and meth head thief gun enthusiast are certainly not what you should be associating yourself with.
Lesley Regina, well aside from this debacle which contains strong ties and accusations from one Brian Lancaster (and we can deduce that Brian is not the most wholesome of individuals from all these articles and other items of public record), I’ve found not a single blemish on this young attorneys record. It seems her only mistake was trying to help Mr. Lancasters ex-wife. I’m not sure I know too many people who wouldn’t utilize their tools and resources to help out a friend in need. Most people would, I’d hope.
And in conclusion, I ask, what exactly was contained in this confidential file he claims was accessed and if it’s a crime file from some criminal database, what is it you are hiding Mr. Lancaster? Why all this effort with the media, law suits, changing stories and possible false accusations if you just want to see your kids? Lastly, who are the other 4 or 6 names that were accessed? I’ve read nothing and have seen nothing of who these other people were who supposedly are the victims of this misuse of information. We’ve only been spectators to the drama that only entails Brian Lancaster…
Oh and I am almost 100% sure Leslie Regina/Fire Marshall poster above is Brian Lancaster. He seems to really enjoy impersonating those he’s harassing and post favorable comments on himself and negative comments on those who are challenging him to make them and these comment have his “signature” all over them. What a sad pathetic little person this Lancaster character is.

LAW DOG and Sal Goodman are both Brian Lancaster. He is using Sal (should be spelt Saul) Goodman cause he LOVES Breaking Bad and regularly makes references to this show (tweaker) and LAW DOG is clearly him gloating as he regularly logs in as others in order to gloat and always ALWAYS will make reference to “the ex wife” and/or “lawyer” in a back handed criticism.
He Currently has an ACTIVE restraining order against him and he continues to directly and indirectly harass in spite of having a restraining order against him (this is FACT and please do not delete this comment with the “unverified accusations” bull. Gary thanks for posting. Interesting to say the least, the story never mentions anything about a murder suicide plot by Brian Lancaster which he calls “Going postal”. You can read above that Lancaster had mentioned to his girl friend at the time he planned on murdering his ex wife and new husband.
