The San Ramon Valley school board is set to consider making new appointments to the district’s Facilities Oversight and Advisory Committee on Tuesday evening (Jan. 13).
Board members will choose from 16 citizens for two- and three-year terms — a combination of returning members and new applicants. The committee’s primary responsibilities include oversight of Measure D facilities bond projects and expenditures, and review of current and future school district facility plans.
The appointments are scheduled to take place as part of the school board’s open-session meeting, set to start at 7 p.m. in the boardrooms at 699 Old Orchard Drive in Danville.
In other business, the board will consider adopting resolutions in support of declaring February as African American History Month and designating Feb. 2-6 as National School Counseling Week and Words Matter Week.
Board members will receive a presentation on career technical education in the district.
They will also discuss approval of an 11-item consent agenda, which includes a notice of completion for the fire alarm replacement project at Del Amigo High, an out-of-state trip for Monte Vista High’s a cappella choir in April and a resolution outlining about a dozen revisions to the 2014-15 budget deemed routine by district staff.
