The Role Players Ensemble is set to present John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men” next month at Danville’s Village Theatre.
The story — originally published as a novella in 1937 — follows drifters George and Lennie as they travel from ranch to ranch looking for work during the Great Depression. At one of their stops, trouble catches up to them.
The show will run from April 17 to May 3 at the local theater located at 233 Front St. A free “sneak peek” event is set for April 9 at the Danville Library located at 400 Front St. for a look at the production process with the show’s actors, designers and director Eric Fraisher Hayes.
Tickets for the play are available online, at the Danville Community Center at 420 Front St., or by calling 314-3400.
