San Ramon’s Forest Home Farms Historic Park is encouraging residents to volunteer for agricultural and museum programs.

The park is holding an orientation and training event from 9-11:30 a.m. this Wednesday (Sept. 2) at 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd., according to a city press release.

Volunteers are needed for the farm life education program and the Glass House Museum.

The farm life program needs docents to teach third-grade students about the agricultural history of the San Ramon Valley, and the museum needs docents to lead tours, participate in educational programs and help with historic preservation.

The Glass House Museum is a fully restored, Italianate-style Victorian home that was built in 1877.

For more information or to RSVP for the training meeting, call Suzy McCreary at 973-3284 or email smccreary@sanramon.ca.gov.
