Danville singer Adam Lasher’s run on “American Idol” came to an end when he was eliminated on Thursday night’s episode after advancing to the round of 24.

“Thank you for the journey ‘American Idol,’ for the rest of you, I’ll see you on the next adventure,” 28-year old San Ramon Valley High alum said on his Twitter page.

Lasher appeared on two episodes of the Fox TV singing competition show last week.

He sang Sam Sparro’s “Black and Gold” on Wednesday night’s episode. Keith Urban, one of the show’s judges, said that the song choice had him baffled and that Adam needed to choose something that no one else in the competition could do.

On Thursday night’s episode, Lasher sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” a duet song with former ‘Idol’ contestant Haley Reinhart. In the end, it marked his final performance on the show.

“My journey on ‘American Idol’ is over, but you can still keep me in your hearts and ears — These Shoes, EP (extended play) by Adam Lasher,” Lasher said on his Twitter feed, encouraging his fans to purchase his original songs on iTunes and continue following his music.
