The Danville Police Department and town officials are set to host a retail safety seminar at the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown this Thursday.
The free event will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and will be an opportunity for “Danville business owners to get the facts on how to prevent retail theft in an informative class,” according to Geoff Gillette, town public information coordinator.
Danville police will give participants information on local crime trends, detecting counterfeit currency and loss prevention tips, among other topics. A question-and-answer panel discussion will follow the formal presentation.
Space is still open and those interested can register online prior to the event.
