Presented by the San Ramon Historic Foundation, the event will feature recognizable Oktoberfest entertainment, including music from the Olympia Fields Brass Band, performances by the Golden Gate Bavarian Dancers, polka lessons, German food and drinks, and Dachshund races.
Tickets cost $20 for adults (includes beer stein, one beer and lunch), $15 for those 13-20 years old (includes root beer and lunch) and $10 for kids 6-12 years old (includes root beer and lunch). Children 5 years old and younger are free.
The Oktoberfest celebration is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the historic park at 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd.
The “Doxie” races will begin at 3 p.m. Dachshunds must be registered into the event in order to race. There is no entry free for the Dachshunds, and Petco is providing treats for all race participants, with winner’s grand prize also up for grabs, organizers said.
