Christmas has arrived early at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley with the opening of its traditional “Christmas Memories” exhibit this week.

The showing includes decorated trees, toys, dolls, flying Santa, Ferris wheel, antique sleigh and memory tree, as well as special collections of Teddy bears, Santas and international dolls from the 1920s and ’30s.

“Christmas Memories” will remain open through Dec. 31 at the museum in downtown Danville at 205 Railroad Ave.

The museum is set to host a special open house this Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m., immediately following the annual Danville tree-lighting ceremony. Santa Claus will come to the museum that evening.

Regular museum hours are 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays. For more information, visit the museum website.
