One of the golf courses at Blackhawk Country Club saw a small brush fire late Tuesday morning.
No people were hurt nor homes damaged, though a golf cart was destroyed, according to Lon Phares, San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District deputy chief of operations.
The fire was called in at 11:58 a.m. and took responders about 30 minutes to get under control, due to access issues and the fact that the fire was situated somewhat on a hill, Phares said.
It burned between 0.75 and 1 acres of grass and brush on a parcel of the golf course off of Live Oak Drive, also destroying a golf cart on that land, Phares said. No person was near the golf cart at the time of the fire.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
