The Community Presbyterian Church in Danville is set to host its second annual Serve Day weekend.
At the two-day event, volunteers from local communities will head out to different Bay Area locations, to help out at various organizations, from parks and recreation centers to homeless shelters.
Last year, over 1,200 San Ramon Valley residents came out for the inaugural weekend, and this year, the Presbyterian church hopes to increase its volunteer numbers to 1,500-2,000. Currently, about 1,200 are signed up.
Projects will take place on both Saturday and Sunday. For more information or to sign up, check the Serve Day wesbsite.
