The Role Players Ensemble will be bringing a suspenseful thriller to Danville in their two-week-long production of the play “Angel Street.”
“Angel Street” tells the story of Isabella Manningham, who believes she is going mad under the influence of her mysterious new husband, a sentiment heightened when a detective comes calling to investigate his suspicions on Mr. Manningham’s sinister motivations.
The play was adapted to the screen in 1944 under the name of “Gaslight,” starring Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer.
The Role Players Ensemble’s rendition is directed by Chloe Bronzan and features Alan Coyne, Adrian Deane, Dorian Lockett, Jessica Riley and Jeanette Sarmiento.
It will run from Oct. 20 to Nov. 5 at the Village Theatre, 233 Front Street. Tickets are $20-$30 and can be purchased online at the ensemble’s website, at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front Street or by calling 314-3400.
