Danville may soon have a series of new banners to decorate its streets.

Town staff will present the Danville Town Council with a suite of approximately 40 banners to potentially be displayed along Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard at different stages through the year.

Council members will review different banners to critique and choose from during a study session Tuesday morning.

The banners will be rotated five times throughout the year, options vary with different backgrounds, logos, color combinations and messages, each promoting the town of Danville in various ways. Banners will not interfere with the Veterans Banner Program, which is displayed in the weeks before and after Veterans Day, or the banners in the town’s art district along Front Street, town officials said.

The banner rotation is expected to begin in May.

Community members are encouraged to come and participate in the decision-making, town officials said. The study session is set for this Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the town offices at 510 La Gonda Way.
