As many residents undoubtedly know, fatigue brought on by holiday shopping is all too real. But the Danville Youth Council wants to help alleviate some of the stress by offering free gift wrapping services to local shoppers this weekend.

In an effort to encourage residents to live and shop locally, middle and high school students on the town’s Youth Council will gather downtown for several hours offering to wrap shoppers recently purchased goods.

Shoppers can feel free to drop of their purchases and explore the downtown area further, or watch the teens work some holiday magic into their wrappings.

Any San Ramon Valley Unified School District student is eligible to serve on the Danville Youth Council and represent the interests of their peers while also gaining some experience on what it means to work in community governance.

The young civic leaders will be providing gift wrapping services for free, inside downtown Danville’s Stone Cold Luxe, located at 166 E. Prospect Ave., this Saturday (Dec. 15), from 1-4 p.m.
