Contra Costa County Supervisor Candace Andersen’s State of the District address — originally scheduled for this Tuesday — has been postponed indefinitely following the death of her mother over the weekend.
The San Ramon Chamber of Commerce, which is sponsoring the speech, confirmed the postponement on Sunday, with chamber officials saying they are working to find a new date to hold the event in the coming weeks at the same venue, Crow Canyon Country Club.
The speech was designed to give Andersen a chance to highlight recent accomplishments in her District 2 (which includes San Ramon, Danville and Alamo), along with addressing the theme of “how does the county shape and impact your quality of life” and providing an update on the important issues that are currently facing the county.
Refunds will be available for attendees who paid for Tuesday’s event but won’t be able to attend the rescheduled date, chamber officials said.
