Firefighters from the Alameda County Fire Department and CalFire’s Santa Clara Unit successfully battled a vegetation fire on Friday, after the blaze stretched to 248 acres near Camino Loop at Twain Harte in Dublin near the Livermore border.
CalFire officials said that the blaze — referred to as the Harte Fire — was spreading at a moderate to dangerous rate and threatened two structures before coming to heel.
Alameda County Fire Department officials said forward progress had been stopped around 3 p.m., and the blaze was fully contained just after 6 p.m. Friday.
