The Vintage restaurant at Crow Canyon Country Club in Danville reopened last week after correcting major health violations that resulted in the restaurant being closed by Contra Costa County Health Services for one week.

The Vintage was closed down on Oct. 15, after county health inspectors found a cockroach infestation during an unannounced health inspection.

In response to the closure the club’s general manager, Brian Amador, acknowledged the violation and assured members that his staff would launch corrective measures to rectify the problem and clean up the infestation.

“While we believe that our swift response did successfully eradicate any issues, we have decided to remain closed to reorganize the kitchen, conduct some facility repairs and retrain the team,” Amador wrote, in part.

The restaurant in the private country club was cleared to reopen this Tuesday (Oct. 22) after correcting the problem.

Nearby in San Ramon the Residence Inn on 1071 Market Place also briefly prohibited from food service last week, when during a routine inspection county health inspectors found two major violations including improper sanitation of food contact surfaces and an issue involving sewage and wastewater being improperly disposed.

However, the Residence Inn was able to quickly rectify these issues and after closing down on Oct. 16 was able to reopen one day later.
