The Dublin San Ramon Services District Board of Directors received a raise in compensation in the new year.

Starting this week, board members will earn $195 for each day of service, up from the previous rate of $146 per day.

The increase was approved in November, when the five-member board — which includes directors Georgean M. Vonheeder-Leopold, Ann Marie Johnson, Richard Halket, Edward Duarte, and Madelyne Misheloff — unanimously approved the motion during their regular meeting.

The elected officials supported the raise when it was originally proposed several months ago, stating they hoped that higher compensation would attract qualified candidates for DSRSD’s upcoming elections in November.

DSRSD provides water to customers in Dublin and San Ramon, and sewage service for the communities of Dublin, San Ramon and Pleasanton.

  1. Gee, the Board can raise their own salary??? What’s wrong with this picture everyone?

Here’s the proverbial fox watching the chicken coop.

Sounds like they learned this loophole from our “wonderful” politicians and greedy corporations.
