The San Ramon Valley Unified School District’s Board of Education is set to continue discussions and consider making a decision Tuesday on assigning board members as school site liaisons for the current academic year.

Discussions on the matter kicked off at the board’s July 25 meeting where Board President Rachel Hurd, of Trustee Area 5, asked to continue the discussion and provide proposed new liaison assignments for discussion at the board’s upcoming meeting.
For the previous academic year, Area 1 Trustee Jesse vanZee was assigned to Golden View, Live Oak, Montevideo and Vista Grande elementary schools along with Pine Valley and Stone Valley middle schools and Dougherty Valley High School.
Area 2 Trustee Shelly Clark was assigned as liaison for Alamo, Bella Vista, Country Club, Coyote Creek and Greenbrook elementary schools, Diablo Vista Middle School, California High School, and Venture Independent Study.
Area 3 Trustee Laura Bratt was assigned to Creekside, Montair, Twin Creeks and Sycamore Valley elementary schools, Windemere Ranch Middle School, and the Del Amigo Continuation High School.
Area 4 Trustee Susanna Ordway was assigned to Bollinger, Green Valley, Hidden Hills, Tassajara Hills and Walt Disney elementary schools, Gale Ranch Middle School and San Ramon Valley High School.
Hurd was assigned to John Baldwin, Neil Armstrong, Rancho Romero and Quail Run elementary schools, Charlotte Wood and Iron Horse middle schools, and Monte Vista High School.
Under the proposed new rotation, the schools would be grouped differently, with each group of schools seeing each area’s trustee rotate in over the course of a five-year cycle.
The proposed new groupings of school sites would see Live Oak, Rancho Romero, Greenbrook, Golden View and Walt Disney elementary schools plus Pine Valley and Monte Vista middle schools in Group A.
Group B would consist of Hidden Hills, Green Valley, Creekside, Twin Creeks and Country Club elementary schools plus Iron Horse Middle School and San Ramon Valley High School.
Group C would consist of Bella Vista, Vista Grande, John Baldwin and Montevideo elementary schools, Stone Valley Middle School and Dougherty Valley High School.
Group D would consist of Quail Run, Alamo, Sycamore and Neil Armstrong elementary schools, Windemere Ranch and Los Cerros middle schools, and California High School.
Group E would consist of Coyote Creek, Montair, Tassajara Hills and Bollinger Canyon elementary schools, Diablo Vista and Gale Ranch Middle Schools, Venture Independent Study and Del Amigo Continuation High School.
Under the proposed new rotation the current academic year would see vanZee assigned to Group A, Clark assigned to Group B, Bratt assigned to Group C, Ordway assigned to Group D and Hurd assigned to Group E.
The SRVUSD board is set to meet for their first meeting of the new school year at 6 p.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 15). The agenda is available here.
