A Sacramento woman has been charged for possessing a machine gun during an alleged theft in Walnut Creek last month.
Romajane Hill, 19, is out on bail after Walnut Creek police arrested her and two other females July 27. Police were called at approximately 1:30 p.m. to a report of a theft in progress in the 1200 block of Broadway Plaza.
Officers detained three females and allegedly found Hill in possession of a stolen handgun.
Police said the gun was modified from a semi-automatic pistol to a fully automatic pistol, and also had a 30-round extended magazine.
Hill was arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of possessing a machine gun, possession of a large capacity magazine, carrying a loaded firearm on one’s person, and concealing a firearm on one’s person.
Police said the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office has charged Hill, and that she is currently out on bail.
