Danville council denies El Pintado senior housing appeals
The planned senior housing project on El Pintado Road in Danville is set to proceed with construction following the denial of two appeals from neighboring residents and dozens of public comments at the most recent Town Council meeting.

LAFCO approves Con Fire annexing Rodeo-Hercules district
The Rodeo-Hercules Fire Protection District will officially join the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. That will leave SRVFPD as one of just three areas in the county not serviced by Con Fire.

Tolls on Bay Area bridges to increase in January and continue rising through 2030
The regional body that sets toll rates for the Bay Area’s seven state-owned bridges voted this week to raise tolls by another $1.25 to $3 for two-axle vehicles, starting in 2026, introducing a “tiered” tolling rate.
