Danville man arrested following police standoff

A Danville man is currently in police custody on felony battery charges following a standoff with police Monday that led to the evacuation of several neighboring properties.

Coroner IDs 15-year-old killed in Walnut Creek crash

The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office has identified a 15-year-old old San Jose boy who was killed early Sunday morning when the car in which he was riding slammed into a freeway support pillar in Walnut Creek.
