California Highway Patrol officers arrested a driver on suspicion of felony grand theft after a traffic stop in Pleasanton late last week.
The arrest followed a traffic stop at 10:51 p.m. Friday on northbound Interstate Highway 680 south of Stoneridge Drive for a routine traffic violation. During the stop, officers observed a large quantity of new clothing — including Nike and Adidas merchandise with security tags still attached — and containers of laundry detergent in the vehicle, the CHP said.
The name of the driver who was arrested has not been released.
