Former presidential candidate and congresswoman turned political pundit Tulsi Gabbard is set for a speaker appearance in the Tri-Valley next month.

The Dublin Chamber of Commerce is presenting Gabbard’s talk at the Bankhead Theater as part of its 2024 Thought Leadership Speaker Series.
Gabbard, who served as a Democrat from Hawaii in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021, famously left the political party in 2022 to become an independent. Just last month, she released a new book reflecting on the experience entitled, “For Love of Country: Why I Left the Democratic Party”.
Also lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Gabbard was among the slew of Democratic hopefuls to run for the party’s presidential nomination in the 2020 cycle. After leaving Congress, she has grown her national profile as a political podcast host and guest commentator on television. Her name has been linked in national news reports this year, including recent stories from USA Today and NBC News, as a potential vice presidential running mate for presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
“An Evening with Tulsi Gabbard” is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. June 18 at the Bankhead Theater in downtown Livermore. To learn more, visit dublinchamberofcommerce.org.
