Sunset Development Co. has reported an increase in office leasing activity at Bishop Ranch over the past year, driven by existing tenants expanding their space and new businesses moving into the San Ramon campus.
The company earlier this month announced it has renewed leases for approximately 435,000 square feet of office space and signed leases for another 192,000 square feet through expansions and new businesses.
Among the tenants that expanded are John Muir Health, which added 40,512 square feet; Cloud Software Group, which added 27,766 square feet; and Trumark Homes, which added 19,877 square feet. Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and CBG engineers expanded by 6,878 square feet and 5,367 square feet, respectively.
“The continued growth across our tenant portfolio reflects Bishop Ranch’s ability to keep pace as more companies reprioritize in-person, collaborative workplaces,” Sunset President and CEO Alex Mehran Jr. said on Oct. 5. “Nearly 70% of our annual leasing came from tenants renewing, a long-term commitment built on genuine confidence in the workplace and the neighborhood growing around them.”
The company also said about 60,000 additional square feet of turn-key office space is fully leased out, with Tessel, Anaplan ENGEO and ZInus among the businesses occupying the move-in ready suites.
“At Bishop Ranch, our employees get to work in a state-of-the-art office,” said Jean Cavanagh, senior director, global real estate & facilities for Cloud Software Group in Sunset’s Oct. 5 announcement. “And with nearby dining and retail options, they can streamline their daily routines. San Ramon can support the needs of our business as we grow and expand.”
