Danville resident MJ Mc Colgan won his fifth straight Northern California Special Olympic Golf Championship at Castlewood Country Club. Trailing by 3 shots with 3 holes to play, Mc Colgan rallied and made a crucial 15-foot downhill putt to seal the victory by 2 shots on the last hole and post the lowest score of the tournament. His next goals are to play in the first ever 2006 National Games to be held in Ames, Iowa, and the 2007 Summer Games to be held in China. He also is a finalist for the 2005 Nike Casey Martin Award and is a three-time National Champion.
