Both the girls and boys Monte Vista High varsity basketball teams won their respective North Coast Section championships held at St. Mary’s College on Saturday night.
The girls played at 6 p.m., beating Deer Valley 57-40.
The boys’ game followed at 8 p.m., and the Mustangs faced Newark Memorial, winning 52-43.
