Officials with the City of San Ramon and Dublin San Ramon Services District are advising drivers to proceed with caution on a portion of Bollinger Canyon Road through Thursday evening following a water line break in the area.

The city issued a traffic alert at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday about the break, with workers from DSRSD on the scene to address the issue as of that point.

While repairs were initially expected to be completed by 6 p.m. Wednesday according to the initial notification from the city, they issued a subsequent alert via social media at 3:02 p.m. to alert drivers that additional work would be underway throughout the day on Thursday.

According to the update Wednesday afternoon, DSRSD workers were waiting for other utilities in the area to be marked by contractors before completing repairs. Workers from DSRSD subcontractor DPI are set to be on the scene from 7 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m.

The broken water line is on Bollinger Canyon Road between Dougherty and Old Dougherty roads, impacting one of the road’s southbound lanes.

While no road closures were announced by officials as of Wednesday evening, they are encouraging drivers to use care while navigating the area during repair work Thursday due to the impacted lane and the presence of workers at the scene.
