A special memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, for Cindy Collins, who was Golden View Elementary School principal from 1998 to 2005. She died in March after a three-year battle with cancer.
Collins, 51, also taught third grade at Rancho Romero Elementary School in Alamo for 10 years. She joined the San Ramon Valley Unified School District as a part-time Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) teacher.
The service will take place at Golden View School, 5025 Canyon Crest Drive, San Ramon. Families and children are invited to come to celebrate her life and participate in the dedication of a fountain in her honor.
