More than 200 artists will be showing their work at the 14th annual Danville Fine Arts Faire in downtown Danville next weekend. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19, the fair will offer food and drink, Dixieland jazz and, new this year, a Street of Flowers on Prospect Street.
Business owners will transform Prospect Street with flowers, fountains and topiaries. People can also enjoy listening to Dixieland jazz at Hartz and School Street while sipping a glass of champagne at the Open Aire Gallery. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., free shuttle service will be offered at the Park and Ride at Sycamore Valley Road.
The following street closures will be effective at 2 a.m., Saturday, June 18, until 11 p.m., Sunday, June 19:
* Hartz Avenue between Diablo Road and Hartz Way;
* Prospect Avenue between Front Street and Clocktower Parking Lot entrance;
* Church Street between Hartz Avenue and Railroad Avenue; and
* School Street between Hartz Avenue and Railroad Avenue.
