Craig LeMessurier of the Danny Foundation successfully climbed Mount Shasta, which stands 14,162 feet above sea level, to complete the foundation’s second Crib Safety Summit. He unveiled the group’s new logo at the summit.
LeMessurier reached the summit on July 31, only a day before Danny Lineweaver, after whom the organization is named and who suffered a crib accident, would have turned 23. The annual event raises funds for Project Safe Crib, a program that educates families about crib safety and has also provided over 1,000 new safe cribs to families in California and Arizona over the past three years in memory of Danny.
