The MOMS CLUB, a support group for stay-at-home mothers in Danville, San Ramon and Dublin, recently held a fundraiser dinner at Chevy’s Restaurant in San Ramon to purchase DVDs and books for children being treated in the emergency room at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Steve Hitchcock, husband of Stephanie Hitchcock, president of the Danville MOMS CLUB, donated a DVD player he won at work.
Approximately 20 percent of all the patients treated in the emergency room are children. The MOMS believe that entertaining DVDs will make the visit to the emergency department a bit easier for children.
The MOMS presented the gifts to CEO Gary Sloan at the hospital Aug. 9.
