County Supervisor Mary N. Piepho, District 3, is seeking applicants for representative seats for two county service areas for police protection.
County Service Area P-5 Citizens Advisory Committee, which advises the Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff’s Department regarding police protection in Round Hill, has five seats open. This committee consists of nine members and two alternates.
The other committee is for County Service Area P-2A, to advise on police services in the Blackhawk community. It needs four members for its seven-member committee.
The term of office for the new appointees will expire Dec. 31, 2007. For application forms, call the County Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 335-1900 or visit http://www.co.contra-costa.ca.us/maddybook/. Applications should be returned to the clerk by 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12.
