The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its installation dinner Thursday night for its new chairman Guy A. Grego and the 2006 board of directions.
The event is also a chance to honor people in three categories. The nominees are:
* Educator of the year: Ken Abrams, San Ramon Valley High School; Eleanor Dase, head of Athenian School; and Kathleen Moore, San Ramon Valley Unified School District
* Business Person of the year: Tim Argenti, GM of Pleasant Hill Bayshore Disposal; Chris and Jim Edlund, Christe James Fine Jewelry Works; Robert Storer, Pelligrini Construction
* Citizen of the Year: Newell Arnerich; Marianne Gagen; Don and Joan Kurtz
The event will have a Mardi Gras theme and take place at Diablo Country Club. The San Ramon Valley High School Jazz Group and Jazz Chorus will entertain, along with dancers from Next Step Dance Studio. For more information, call 837-4400.
