Earthjustice, a nonprofit law firm based in Oakland, is looking for adults and children to participate in its “Eagles Forever! It’s Our Duty for Future Generations” contest. The topic for this year asks participants to answer the question, “The Bald Eagle is Back! Why is that Important to America?” Kids and adults are encouraged to enter either the 500-word story or the artwork category.

A panel of judges will select two winners and four finalists. Finalists will each receive $200 gift certificates to Amazon.com and a 12-month subscription to National Geographic or NG Kids Magazine. The two winners will receive a trip to Washington, D.C., for themselves and three of their family members to attend an Endangered Species Act event Wednesday, June 28.
