The Danville Town Council is currently taking requests from individuals and organizations for appropriations from its $50,000 Business Promotion Funds for fiscal year 2006-07. The council considers all requests and determines appropriate funding amounts, and preference may be given to those that provide for matching funds.
Submit proposals by 5 p.m., Friday, April 21, to the town offices, 510 La Gonda Way, and include the amount requested, the purpose for funding, and the anticipated benefit to the business community. The Town Council will review the project applications at a study session May 30. To request an application, call Bonnie Guttman at 314-3395.
Some projects funded in the past were the Discover Danville Branding Campaign; the Eugene O’Neill Festival; and the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Danville Life publication.
