How involved should people get when they see a crime in progress?

It depends on the crime. You should always report it immediately, provided you could do it safely.

I think they should get involved; contact the police, try to stop it if they can. They should also make people turn away if anything’s going on.

For a woman, it’s kind of scary. You should do what you can to seek help. I’m kind of short and am not the best for a physical thing, so I’d try to seek help. I know that many good Samaritans get hurt, but you should still try.

If it’s a really bad crime, then they definitely have to do whatever they can to prevent or stop it. Small crimes should also be intervened in if possible because small crimes add up. They shouldn’t be unnoticed.
