Police arrested a woman in her 40s on suspicion of robbing three banks in Danville and Martinez, on June 19.

She held up the U.S. Bank in Danville on Monday afternoon, June 18, said Danville police Sgt. Troy Craig.

The female suspect, who was described as being toothless, wore a yellow hard hat and robbed the U.S. Bank at 720 San Ramon Valley Blvd. around 4:30 p.m., the Federal Bureau of Investigation reported.

The FBI believed the same woman robbed the West America Bank at 601 Ferry St. in Martinez the previous Friday at 4:25 p.m. She told a teller she had a gun and there were two men with guns waiting outside the bank, according to FBI reports. At this robbery, the suspect wore a yellow construction vest and a white hardhat.

But she was still described by witnesses as being toothless.

“We believe it’s the same person that did the robbery in Martinez,” said Danville Police Chief Chris Wenzel.
