Why are the Harry Potter stories so popular?
It has a defined level of good and bad. They can tell who is good and bad. Good triumphs at the end, eventually.Mary Glenn

Because they are brilliantly written. These are not children’s books. They are pieces of literature drawing on classical references in arts and culture. It catches you immediately. It’s not just about hope but about the classic story between good and evil. When you find that you are unable to take anymore, you reach into yourself and see what you are made of.

When I first read them, I pretty much was the same age as Harry Potter. It seems it could happen to you. It feels like I could be going to the wizard’s school. There are so many fantasy books but Harry Potter is special. The characters are special.

It makes people use their imagination. They have to think outside what goes on in their everyday lives.
