Danville resident Evan Levy was judged one of the top two semifinalists in the western division Simply Manischewitz Cook-Off contest Dec. 20 in San Francisco with his original Southwestern Potato Kugel.
The prize is a trip to New York City in February to compete in the nationals against winners from Philadelphia and Chicago. The grand prize is $25,000 in GE appliances and cash.
