Everyone is invited to turn out Saturday for a memorial service honoring former Danville Town Councilman Michael Shimansky. Mr. Shimansky passed away Sept. 15 as a result of bacterial meningitis.
The service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Oak Hill Park, 3005 Stone Valley Road. It will be outdoors so residents are encouraged to bring a blanket or a folding chair as seating will be limited.
