Walnut Creek man arrested for alleged sexual assault of child under 10

Walnut Creek police arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a juvenile under the age of 10.

Kevin Osbourne, 67, of Walnut Creek, was arrested April 30.

Police said Wednesday the case was reported to them several weeks ago, after which detectives did a thorough investigation.

Police said the accusations stem from assaults that occurred 15 to 20 years ago.

Osborne remains in custody in Contra Costa County Jail in lieu of $3.3 million.

Police said Wednesday that the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office has charged Osbourne with two counts of sexual assault of a child under 10 years old and 13 counts of lewd acts upon a child.
