Last week, Google launched OneWorldManyStories.com, a website that highlights interesting user stories. Danville resident and retired high school English teacher Jerome Burg was featured on the site as the founder of Google Lit Trips, downloadable files that mark the journeys of characters from famous literary works on Google Earth.

“I had this concept of seeing if the kids could actually travel along with the characters as the characters were traveling in their story” he said. “The purpose of the discussion starter is that, as we follow this story, can I build a connection that twenty-first century students live in.”

Burg said teachers and students are now generating their own literary trips.
