The Peasant and the Pear restaurant will be hosting its annual holiday Customer Appreciation Party to thank loyal patrons and to benefit the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano Counties, 5-9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, 267 Hartz Ave., Danville. Dressy attire is suggested, and admission is a canned item or nonperishable dry good to help stock the food bank. Cash donations or checks will also be accepted. Complimentary appetizers will be featured.
