Work on Crow Canyon Road
The city of San Ramon has issued a traffic alert for planned landscaping work on Crow Canyon Road between Alcosta Boulevard and Barbados Drive on Saturday (July 27).Â
Drivers are asked to navigate with caution in the area between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., and to accommodate bicyclists, with the third eastbound lane and bike lane set to be closed to accommodate the project.
I-680 crash
The California Highway Patrol’s Dublin Area Office responded to a three-vehicle collision on I-680 near Crow Canyon Road Tuesday morning at approximately 9:25 a.m. that blocked four lanes of traffic for approximately two hours. One injury was reported.
Middle school pool party
The city of San Ramon is hosting a pool party for middle schoolers in the final weeks of summer before classes resume at SRVUSD schools in the middle of August.
“Play games, listen to music, win prizes, race on the Splash N’ Dash, take a dip in the play pool, float on an inner tube, play games and more,” event organizers said in an announcement Thursday. “This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow middle schoolers and make new friends.”
The event is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the San Ramon Olympic Pool at 9900 Broadmoor Dr. More information and registration are available here.
Women’s health town hall
Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) is hosting a town hall event centered on women’s health in the coming weeks.
“With women’s health under attack across the country, I will be hosting a town hall to discuss protecting reproductive freedom and tackling other top medical issues facing women including breast cancer and heart disease,” DeSaulnier said in an announcement Tuesday.
The event is scheduled for Aug. 6 at 1 p.m. in the John Muir Health campus at 2540 East St. in Concord. Registration is available here.
“In light of recent events and to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, all bags, purses, backpacks, and other similar carriables will not be permitted in the venue,” DeSaulnier continued in Tuesday’s announcement. “We encourage you to plan accordingly as there will be no on-site storage for bags.”
